If my life were a Sesame Street episode, today’s letter would be “F” and the word would be “idiocy.”

Seriously. Where did my brain go and why did it leave me here alone? This morning I tried desperately to open the door at daycare but my code wasn’t working. Did they kick J out? Had I forgotten to pay? Maybe they just changed the code. I buzz the front desk and sweetly ask if the code has been changed. nope. They kindly buzz me in so I go to J’s teacher and ask her, because clearly the front desk was lying. She looks at me funny and says no. So I tell her the code I was punching in and ask if she’s sure it hasn’t changed. She looks at me even funnier and tells me the REAL code. Which was nothing like what I was punching in.

What am I smoking?!?! I’ve only been taking J to daycare for like 20 weeks or something crazy like that. How did I forget the code? Whatever, it happens. I go on to work.

My day didn’t seem too terribly idiotic after that… until about five seconds ago when I was happily pumping away. I looked down and thought “Man, I feel like I’ve been pumping a lot but there is butt-nothing in the bottom of the bottle.” I shrugged and kept pumping. Then I noticed I was hearing a funny noise so I look again. Mind you, this is *at least* five minutes into pumping.

THE EFFING BOTTOM OF THE BOTTLE WASN’T SCREWED ALL THE WAY ON. Seriously? I just pumped probably two ounces of milk onto the floor of my office. How in the hell did I not notice that?!!?!?!

So yeah. Idiocy. Maybe I need more coffee…..
