Friday Faves — Eshakti.com

In addition to my lovely “Ask Away” post, I wanted to finally post my review of the awesomeness that is Eshakti.

First, I know you’re probably thinking “E whatty?” and that’s about to change. Eshakti is the greatest little secret on the Internet. I discovered them a few months ago quite by accident and since then have been shamelessly coveting their clothes. Here’s the thing… they not only have adorable clothes that are sort of … classically styled… but they CUSTOMIZE. What does that mean? Glad you asked. It means that you can send them your exact measurements and they will make your clothes to fit you. Best part? It doesn’t cost an arm and a leg! Everything is reasonably priced and, as mentioned, adorable.
Not only will they customize to your size, they will customize to your preferences. Don’t like the cap sleeves? Have it made sleeveless. Think the length of that dress is too long? Shorten it. It’s like having a tailor in your computer.
As if I didn’t already love Eshakti, they were kind enough to send me a sample dress. That’s right… a dress. For me. MADE TO MY MEASUREMENTS. That’s amazing to me because, well, I have gigantic boobs. So this dress is perfection. I picked this one because, well, I loved the flowers. And I thought it was the perfect “transitional” dress… you know, I could slap on a cardigan and wear it to work or wear it out somewhere fancy for dinner. I was right. I love love love it. I’m planning to wear it to the bridal shower I’m throwing next weekend and can’t wait. It makes me feel pretty because, well, it actually FITS. Unlike most of my clothes. And I know you’re thinking I’m rather bold to choose white given my track record, but this dress is easy to clean! I don’t have to dryclean… thank. God.
For your amusement, I am including some of my “photo shoot” shots. Thanks to a fellow associate at my firm for shooting these, while laughing hysterically, in our front lobby. And thanks to the law firm fairy for somehow managing to keep any partners out of the lobby while this non-billable work was taking place! (And thanks to our receptionist for loaning me glasses I don’t wear so I could look more intelligent.)
And the best news for YOU guys is that Eshakti is offering a giveaway. They are offering a $15 gift certificate to the winner and since I got a fabulous dress for, well, nothing, I’m throwing in an additional $25 gift certificate from me. That means you’ll have $40 to spend on their website. Trust me, you’ll use every penny. So here’s how to enter:

1. Stop by Eshakti.com and tell me what item you’d select
2. Become a facebook fan of Eshakti.com
3. Comment on Eshakti’s facebook page telling them that Law Momma sent you over
4. Post a comment here for each one of these items and get THREE chances to win.

I’ll select the winner on Tuesday afternoon by random number generator so enter now!

I love the Cotton Satin Sheath! Their stuff is cute, except I was like, "What's a caftan?", so I clicked it and thought, "Oh, a Mrs. Roper dress!!!" Good to know the Embroidered Bib Front Caftan is available if I ever need a choir robe. (though the Floral embroidered sheath maxi is super cute)
