Law Momma in the Lap of Luxury

Ahh, luxury.
I could get used to this. I left my cell phone at home *by accident* and we’re checked in to the lovely Ballentyne Resort and Spa. Oh My Gosh. Last night? The housekeeper knocked on the door and when I answered she asked if we’d like her to turn down our bed.
SAY WHAT? I can turn down my own bed, right? Then she says “Okay… would you still like the chocolates?”
Hahahaha. She clearly doesn’t know me. I almost sat down at her feet. Yes. Yes, I would still like the chocolates.
And now this morning I am sitting in my lovely Ballentyne robe, watching Husband and J play on the floor. The only thing that’s missing is someone feeding me grapes and, well coffee. Because there’s no pot in the room. And a pot costs $14 from room service. I’ll be okay with soda, thanks. The only problem is that out our window, I can see the shining beacon of joy that is Starbucks and I’m just about to send Husband over to visit and bring me back a Peppermint Mocha. Or a Dark Cherry Mocha. Or hell, maybe both. We’re on vacation, right?
The trip up went pretty well, all things considered. We only had to stop once which was pretty amazing. Of course, my back and neck hurt like hell this morning because most of MY trip was spent angled over the car seat saying things like “AHHH OOOOOH!” and “Boogaboogaboo!” Why? Because they make him laugh. A lot. And a laughing sick baby is WAY better than a crying one. It’s worth the pain knowing that he only cried once or twice on the ride up.
I am loving this hotel, though, y’all. There’s a king sized bed. And they turn it down. And there are CHOCOLATES.
Life is good.
