Gift Update

Posted on | December 16, 2010 | 6 Comments

Okay. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the suggestions. Here’s what I did:

For the low, low price of $45 total, I bought Lindor truffles in milk and dark chocolate (bonus, there are plenty left over for ME stocking stuffers), two pretty candle holder jar things (that’s the technical name), two splits of Champagne, and two $10 gift cards to Barnes and Noble.

And the best part? They looked pretty and festive without any wrapping! (Which is huge in my world because I’m the worlds. worst. wrapper. True story, I held a wrapping party at our house in Macon one year for the sole purpose of trying to convince other people to wrap my gifts.)

And for the director, I wrote her a very nice card and bought two dozen cookies from Two Smart Cookies that she could eat, take home, or share with the facility.

Stay tuned for tomorrow and the second edition of Friday Free for All and thanks again, guys!

Doh! The Principal…forgot her. But the teachers were even surprised to see gifts, or they acted that way.

    Sounds great.

I have to disagree with your being the world's worst wrapper. There are some pretty ugly presents at Christmas every year, but to my knowledge, they come from certain, um, male members of the family. Namely our sweet father-in-law. 🙂
