Happy Friday!

Yesterday I battled a mean bout of vertigo that is hovering just outside my peripheral vision today. I’m hoping it will stay at bay, but who really knows. Hope you all had a fantastic Thursday/Valentine’s Day and spent it with the people or persons you care the most about. I know that I did; J and I picked up take out food and spread a blanket on the floor of the living room for an indoor picnic. Then, when the burgers and fries were gone, we climbed into bed and read stories. It was, by far, the best Valentine’s Day I’ve had in a really long time.
This morning, I’m struggling to make it through, remembering that this time next week, I’ll be on my way to Disney for my first ever half-marathon. I’m anxious and excited, worried that taking the past week off from running will hinder my ability to perform next weekend. But, my hamstring is feeling better, though still tight, and I’m planning to go over to the gym today for a slow walk/jog to get my body back in the game. In the meantime, I’m posting over at Liberating Working Moms on the lessons I hope my son is learning by my being a part of the workforce and not staying at home with him. Does it make me a better mom than anyone else? Nope. But if I can’t find something positive in all the time I spend away from him then my heart will explode and not in a good way.
Happy Friday, all!
