Congratulations, Law Momma! It’s a Blog!

I’ve officially been blogging for nine months. I birthed a blog, guys! Other than Husband this is really the longest “optional” relationship I’ve ever entered into! I have a long term relationship with you all… does this mean I need to send you flowers?

It’s hard to believe that I started this in January wondering if even my family members would ever deign to read my stilted ramblings and ridiculous thoughts. And now here we are, nine full months later, still writing and sharing and being ridiculous! It gives me warm fuzzies.

Moving on though to more interesting topics… my child is sleeping. And I think he is sleeping in part because I have managed to trick him. Never let it be said that I am above trickery, folks. On Thursday night, I followed the advice of my lovely blog readers and put him down in his crib drowsy, but still awake. I laid down in the bed in the nursery and let him work himself to sleep. Then… and here’s where I got tricky… I piled my old pregnancy pillow into the nursery bed, covered it with covers, and in general made it look like someone was asleep in the bed.

Is that ridiculous? You bet. Did he sleep through the night? Oh HELL yes. So who was I to judge… myself… for what worked? I pulled that sucker the next three nights and you know what? No more mid-night crying. I don’t know if it’s the medicine from the doctor for his little lungs or if it’s the reassurance when he wakes up that he’s “sort of” not alone in the room but whatever it is, we’ve returned to the land of the living in the Law Momma household. And for that? I am truly greatful.

Now on to the exciting stuff… in honor of my little baby blog that I nurtured through nine full months, I’m going to give away something exciting. Something straight from my own pocket. Something I hope you’ll love and treasure as much as I do. What is that something? Glad you asked…

I don’t know.

ha! I want to do something awesome for you guys but I don’t know what to do. So I’m asking for suggestions. What would you like to win? What (within reason) would make you so very happy?     How exciting!!! It's a blog milestone :). Honestly? It blows me away that you are one of THE MOST consistent bloggers in my google reader and yet you are probably one of the busiest. You amaze me.
