Oh where to begin.

I have had the most epic awesomeness of a day in the history of epic awesome days.

It started out slowly, just trying to get things in line for my mediations.  Around 10:30, my boss summoned me to her office which made me … slightly nervous.  But wait, what was this? A smile? A raise?? A BONUS?! Yeah.  That just happened.  Just in time for me to head out to my first of three mediations for the afternoon.

I left the office with a smile on my face, assuming that no date would go forward but totally okay with it because, I got a bonus.  And I could use it to buy a date if need be.  Only cute opposing counsel got there and was adorable and confirmed that we were, in fact, on for drinks following the mediation.

And then he made me laugh via email during the mediation while we were tucked in our separate rooms and then we drove just out to Chili’s for beer at the bar, which he bought, after pulling out my chair and holding the door open for me.  He was funny and charming and just a touch dorky which made him so much more endearing.  And I was awkward and clumsy and weird and strange and somehow, inexplicably, he said he’d like to do it again.

And then I went home and suffered through what can only be called death by over smiling. In the very best ways possible.

Just when it seems that everything is falling apart, a promise is fulfilled, a rainbow appears and I am embraced by reminders that I am worthy of being admired and respected, and bonused, and dated, and you know what? Happy.

I am worthy of happy.

And so are you.

    oh yay!! Yay for slightly dorky over-educated guys who pull out chairs! I’m tellin’ ya, they’re the best. Maybe because they know they can’t pull off “cool”, so they just act like gentlemen and hope for the best. Oh, just yay! And yay on the bonus! What a Tuesday huh? You rock, sister.
